About the Author
Richard Lancaster was born in the United Kingdom and educated in India and South Africa before beginning his career as a Tea Plantation Manager in Sri Lanka and Darjeeling, India. After migrating to Australia in 1967, he held senior management positions before establishing his own successful management consultancy, later expanding into celebrity management, television and film production, and broadcasting.
A prolific writer and respected member of the Redcliffe arts community, Richard has authored fiction, poetry, and more than 1,000 newspaper columns, while producing documentaries and championing environmental conservation throughout South East Queensland. His lifelong curiosity, community involvement, and appreciation for everyday life shine through every page of The Observations Series, making it a lasting tribute to Australian people, places, and stories.
